DRONE BAN

For the safety of paragliders, speed pilots and other air sports enthusiasts, it is prohibited to fly drones or model aircraft at Hoven and in the area around Loen Skylift (see framed area on map). See legal text here. See NOTAM here.

Flying drones and model aircraft requires a special permit. Applications for a permit must be sent to post@loenskylift.no .

Violation of the ban may result in fines and other sanctions from the Civil Aviation Authority.

The ban does not apply to flights in connection with military, police, ambulance, fire, search and rescue missions. Exercises and training for such operations must be coordinated in advance with the responsible party. The ban also does not apply to flights under the Open Skies Agreement.
