Hoven Restaurant and Bar - at the edge of the cliff

Enjoy a good meal with local ingredients, at the cliff's edge, with a broad panoramic view of the fjord landscape. The fireplace in the room next to the main bar. A la carte and mountain pizza menu.

To get to Hoven Restaurant, you need to take Loen Skylift, hike one of the trails up here or climb Via Ferrata Loen.

There is seating for around 370 guests in two sections. The restaurant is shaped like an amphitheater, so everyone has a good view of the fjord landscape. Various events take place throughout the year in Hoven Restaurant. Remember to book a table in advance if you plan to eat in the restaurant. Food must be ordered no later than 15 minutes before the kitchen closes.

Are you coming here with a large group of people? We offer special menus for groups, and are happy to prepare a celebratory dinner if something is to be celebrated. Maybe you're getting married? We open both Loen Skylift and Hoven Restaurant for groups outside regular opening hours by appointment. Larger groups (over 12) who wish to book a table can use this form.

Hoven Bar

Hoven Bar is located in the middle of the restaurant and serves Nespresso (cappuccino, espresso etc) and our famous hot chocolate. The bar is open until 30 minutes before the last ride down.

Skyshop & café

Skyshop serves cinnamon buns and ice cream. You'll also find hot chocolate, coffee, tea, cappuccino, espresso and mineral water here. You can also buy souvenirs and other items for your hike here.

Events, gatherings, celebrations, company outings, etc.

Are you celebrating something and looking for a special setting for your event? For groups of at least 10 people, we offer great package deals with Loen Skylift, catering and any activities.
