OperaKysten is going on tour again, bringing some of the most beautiful opera the world has to offer to small venues along our coast. Led by soprano Nora Oleanne Sårheim, they invite you to warm, intimate and surprising opera experiences in Norwegian, made for both experienced opera lovers and those who have never set foot in an opera house.

Forget the idea of ​​rigid halls and distant stage edges. This is opera as you rarely experience it: up close, live and personal. Familiar melodies, strong stories and music that hits right in the heart – performed with humor, warmth and intimacy, and a feeling of being part of something very special: professional opera of high quality – in the middle of your own local community. And it's all in Norwegian!

Bring a friend, a neighbor, or someone who "doesn't like opera." They are often the ones who go home most excited.

About OperaKysten

OperaKysten is an association that was formed on January 15, 2015, based on the idea and initiative of Audun Hareide and Nora Oleanne Sårheim. The aim of the group is to arrange opera, and work for other measures to create increased interest in opera in Sogn og Fjordane. OperaKysten is based in Florø, and is thus the country's westernmost opera stage, but also carries out its activities outside the municipality. OperaKysten collaborates with Sogn og Fjordane Teater and Opera Nordfjord.
