Lauvstad Music Band is the second band on the terrace this weekend! They were founded in 1962, and are based in Lauvstad in Volda municipality. The village is not that big, but the band has always had good support from the villagers, who faithfully attend events and concerts throughout the year.

The band currently has 32 members, ranging in age from 10 to 80. Several families are represented by three generations, which creates a strong sense of community and a lively musical environment. Most members live in Lauvstad, but people from neighboring villages also participate in the popular band.

Throughout the year, the Lauvstad Music Band plays at Christmas concerts, May 17 celebrations and various events in the local community. A firm tradition is an annual band tour in June. In recent years, the tours have included trips to Germany and Denmark - this summer it is Loen and Olden which is on the program.

The repertoire is varied and ranges from church music and atmospheric Christmas tunes to marches, popular music, jazz and blues. Magne Drabløs has conducted the band for over 15 years!

The concert will take place outdoors on the roof terrace and is free for guests of Loen Skylift.
