On Good Friday, we invite you on a very special journey - high above the fjord, on beautiful Hoven , there will be a screening of Loen's own rural film.
The Loen film, which premiered in the fall of 2025, is a true piece of rural history brought to life on the screen. Behind the film is the Loen Development Team together with local enthusiasts, and the film is produced by Filmdigitalisering by Steinar Hilde. The result has been a warm, vivid and moving story about our village.
During 1.5 hours, you will be introduced to Loen's diverse history - from tourism and industry to school, sports and village life. We will also take a trip to the dramatic Lodalsulukkene, with powerful moments that have left deep traces in the village.
The film offers both nostalgia, humor and drama. There is room for both laughter and tears. The story is told through pictures and film footage, with the voice of Olav R. Faleide as a guide, and beautiful songs from Lostrupane. The content is the sum of contributions from businesses and villagers.
This is the film for those of you who live here, for those of you who have your roots in Loen, or are here on Easter vacation, and for all neighbors in Nordfjord who want to get to know our village better.
Bring your family and friends and experience Loen's history in spectacular surroundings at Hoven at Easter. We promise a moment that will warm your heart.
