Guided summit tour with Breogfjell IFMGA summit guides
Breogfjell and other guide companies offer guided summit tours from Loen Skylift, and below we present options of varying difficulty and length.
Short trip (one way)
From the top station we climb 150 meters to Mt. Skredfjellet. From here we can choose between different descents from 300 to 1000 meters, depending on snow and weather conditions. This trip can be adapted to varying skill levels.
Medium to long trip
From the top station we first climb 400 meters to Mt. Staurinibba. A spectacular landscape opens up with an eldorado of possibilities. From here there are hiking opportunities in all directions, with both short and long descents. We can end up either in Stryn, Oppstryn, at Tjugen in Loen, or we can return with the Loen Skylift when the snow line is high in the terrain.
Long to very long trip
If conditions are right, and everyone in the group has good skills, it may be possible to do the spectacular Strynetarversen (Hoven - Storskredfjellet). If you have driven down from Strynefjellet, you have certainly noticed the strikingly beautiful mountain peak with the diamond-shaped glacier that towers over Oppstryn, Mt. Storskredfjellet (1814 m). The trip offers several options. The shortest option requires 1400 meters of ascent and gives 2100 meters of descent. It is also possible to include several shorter descents and ascents in several of the valleys and gully formations that you pass on the traverse towards Mt. Storskredfjellet.
