ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Eivind Kandal comes from the small village of Kandal in Gloppen. This is where he grew up and lived his first 15 years. Eivind is a sought-after freelance singer who performs all over Norway. He trained at the Opera Academy in Copenhagen and the Opera Academy in Oslo.

Elisabeth Gimmestad is a soprano from Sandane in Gloppen. Elisabeth has a bachelor's degree from the University of Stavanger and the Conservatorio di Musica Santa Cecilia in Rome, and a master's degree from the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo. This fall, Elisabeth sang the role of Gretel in Hansel and Gretel at Bergen National Opera and she has previously sung for Opera Nordfjord. Elisabeth has studied with Kirsten Taranger, Bo Skovhus, Elizabeth Norberg-Schulz and Randi Stene. 

Andreas Løken Taklo was born in Florø and grew up at Grov in Eikefjorden. He started playing the piano at the age of nine at the cultural school in Florø. When he was fifteen, he got Elena C. Sirnes as his teacher. His interest in playing and classical music grew quickly. She took him to piano competitions in Russia and Italy, where he has won several prizes.

Those who wish to eat in Hoven restaurant before the performance should book a table. The restaurant serves its a la carte menu.  

The event is free for guests at Loen Skylift.
