Welcome to a cozy Christmas in the mountains. During Christmas, Loen Skylift is open daily from Boxing Day until January 4. There will be live music on several days, and then there will be a Christmas quiz! Play in the snow or go for a walk, and if the weather permits, there will be sledding. The mountain shop rents out sledges and snowshoes . Hoven The restaurant offers a fireplace, good food and live music.

Music with Aleksander Raftevold
Every day between December 28th and New Year's Eve, Aleksander Raftevold (also known by his stage name Aleks Grey) will create a cozy Christmas atmosphere in Hoven Restaurant. Aleksander is originally from Nordfjordeid. and is a songwriter, producer and artist. As a solo artist, under the name Aleks Grey, he has toured in Norway, England and Germany. His music has been streamed all over the world and he has been played on NRK P1, NRK P3, BBC Radio and German radio. He has also composed music for several TV series. Aleksander plays at 2-4 pm.
3rd Christmas Day: Kahoot Room Christmas Quiz
The quiz starts at 19:15, and all you need is to bring your smartphone. If you haven't tried Kahoot before, it's very easy to learn. Participate alone or in a team with good friends (max four per team/table). The winner of the evening will receive a nice prize, and there will also be consolation prizes for 2nd and 3rd place. Free participation. After the quiz, there will be a party atmosphere with HIT Station. Read more about the quiz.
Boxing Day: Festive atmosphere with Jørn Kvalheim
On Boxing Day, the atmosphere will be high. Hoven when Jørn Kvalheim takes the stage. Jørn is a charming live artist with over 180 concerts last year alone, and has played all over the country – from small stages to large festivals. Many also remember him from Idol 2014, where he sang his way to 2nd place with strong interpretations of the likes of Foo Fighters, Bruce Springsteen, The Tallest Man on Earth and Coldplay. Bring young and old to the mountains this day, and join in on something fun for the whole family! The quiz starts at 16:15, and all you need to do is bring your smartphone. Great prizes and free participation! Find out more
Student discount during Christmas
Throughout Christmas Eve and until January 4th, students get a 40% discount on single tickets. Show your student card at the ticket office to get the discount and enjoy your Christmas vacation in the mountains!
Hoven Restaurant & Bar
Hoven The restaurant serves from Christmas Day to January 1. The menu consists of both Christmas food and other temptations. See the menu here. And Remember to book a table ! Skyshop will also be open serving cinnamon rolls, coffee and other refreshments.
Adventurous December
Weather permitting, we will build hiking trails to Skredfjellet and make a toboggan run . Follow our Live page for updated information. There are good conditions for snowshoeing , so bring good shoes and good clothes. Loen Active Fjellbutikk rents out snowshoes and spells. You can even rent a winter suit and ski goggles .
Loen Active Mountain Shop will be open every day from Wednesday 27 to Sunday 31 December 10-16.
Remember the annual pass campaign
Enjoy the high mountains all year round, from short and long hikes, Via Ferrata, sledding, summit ski tours and snowshoe tours, to events and live music. The campaign runs until December 31, 2025. Residents of Stryn municipality receive an extra nice discount, regardless of the campaign period.
