Last year's success will be repeated, so the aviation community is once again invited to a weekend filled with flying and fun in Loen.
The event is free, open to everyone, including spg/base/hg, from newly trained students to seasoned distance pilots.
Loen is a fantastic airfield. The gondola takes you directly up to a large and beautiful takeoff, and there are opportunities for many nice trips. In addition to being Norway's best place for acro, it's also great for spg, base, and thermal flying in spectacular scenery. There will be instructors on site all weekend who can give check-outs on take-off and landing.
It is possible to buy 1/2/3 day passes in the gondola. We are fortunate to have received a discount with Loen Skylift this long weekend on day passes, two- and three-day passes. The discount is 25% for participants.
There will be a rescue boat on the water all weekend. This will be manned on a voluntary basis. If you want to fly over the lake, we encourage you to familiarize yourself with acro boxes and approach patterns. More detailed information will be available closer to the event.
Accommodation is available at Hotel Alexandra, Hotel Loenfjord, Loen Apartments and various cabin centers and campsites in the vicinity. The venue for the event will be Lo-Vik camping. Camping is not permitted in the landing area or parking lots associated with Loen Skylift, Loen Active and Hotel Alexandra.
If the weather is bad, there are several activities in Loen, including Via ferrata, hiking, climbing, cycling and canoeing.
